Sorry if this has been answered a bazillion times already.

I have just swapped from PC to iMac (best decision I have made in years) and have adopted Aperture for my library and basic edits and CS5 for the more complicated stuff and re-editing of existing PSDs.

All of my existing work is on a NAS drive which I don't want to import into Aperture as I have over 1.5tb of images.

Can anyone recommend a decent workflow process for using Aperture and CS5 together for the re-edits of existing PSDs on my NAS?

Thanks

In Aperture's Import Settings, choose Store files In their Current Location. This will create the catalogue with copying or moving your files.

You can store the photos in your own files and folders. Then set in the Preferences Photoshop as the external editor. You then right click on a photo and chose edit with Photoshop. Once you are done with PS and save the file it will be in Aperture.
