I searched and didn't see this posted anywhere; everything I've found said you can't check 60D shutter count, but you can...

You can obtain the shutter count on your 60D with the Magic Lantern custom firmware.

I've been looking for a 60D shutter count... how does this work?

You install this custom firmware, and it has info screens that can tell you this info. Be careful, though! If you do it wrong, you could "brick" your camera, and it's not covered by Canon warranty!

But no cases of any canon dslr has been bricked or none has been reported.

I just wanted to know because I bought a refurb and was curious as to how much it was used before landing in my hands.

Gphoto2 on Ubuntu booted computer (via boot CD). It's described here on POTN somewhere. So easy even a caveman can do it :))
But seriously, that's how I checked mine.

There was a guy on fm that got a shutter count of 1600 something on his 60D that had about 10,000 estimated clicks. So I don't know if we can trust those counts.
