Spent an hour or so at Imperial hill, then booked it over to In-N-Out for the last 20 minutes of sun, which, as luck would have it, gave me nothing but narrow-body domestics until the sun was down. Grr. Oh well...I really need a longer lens, though - this is all 1d3 and 70-200. LAX has to be one of the best, most consistent spotting places in the world, especially with the easy access to good views. What else is up there- Schipol and...?

Lord knows it's not Sky Harbor in Phoenix...

Land of the Southwest 737 and the US Airways Airbus. :(

Nice series Mike.

Haha. That's how I feel about KDEN. All we get is a320s and a bunch of Southwest jets. Although, we do have a Lufthansa 747-400 active twice every day :D

I think you did pretty darn well Mike. Good work!

You get US Airways? Try SAN... land of SWA, and basically only SWA. Oh, and nowhere good to spot from. :D

Thanks Jay. I can definitely concur with that, I've probably flown into pheonix 40 times total on either a 737 or a320. Shame too, such a pretty airport scenery wise.

I just moved from lake tahoe, where that was entirely the case. Nice to be able to head some FREAKIN JET NOISE! Love it.
