I like to shoot my boys on the first day of school every year. Luke started 3rd grade this year and Jake started kindergarten. Unfortunately, Jake had a little accident the day before (hence, the bandaid on his upper lip). I didn't want to do anything about removing it in post because it's part of the memory of his first day of big boy school.

Been commenting on others photos lately so I figured I'd start posting some and taking the criticism. Can't get better without being willing to take criticism. :D

Jake

Did you tell him to tell the other kids he was injured while taking down a mountain lion with nothing but a loin cloth and a buck knife and that his nickname was Jake "chopper" Farmer? Public school is like prison these days, can never have too much street cred. (Nice job BTW.)

Not quite, I told him to say he fought off a grizzly bear who was trying to steal his dinner. The grizzly got him...once. The grizzly won't be getting anyone any longer...

Thanks. Working hard to improve my portraits.
