Basically, it involves precisely timing drops of water so they collide with each other and capturing that moment in time. It involves electronic timing equipment, and electronically controlled valves. It's very addicting. I have put many hours into perfecting technique, and constructing equipment. I have 2 custom built drop tanks constructed from donor aquariums. The really cool part is that you can get started with an eye dropper, colored water, and a bowl. All you need is a single off camera strobe, and a tripod to mount your camera on.

I see, then this collision is actually one drop overtaking the other in free fall is that correct,if so then the question arises about the size of the droplet ,are they different.

This has/is a science not just a casual water drop

Great efforts reap great results.
