Hi, any idea what the .THM file is for? I see this file accompanying every .MOV file. Thanks

The two work hand in hand and as I understand it the info from the .thm file is pulled into the video file upon viewing or if nothing else just when the thumbnail image of the video file is seen. I know they arent needed as I almost always have deleted them. They may actually be JUST the JPEG image preview for the video file... [Gear List | Flickr

Works great. Other than that, I always throw this file away. I shoot vid with the T2i. Thanks Lonnie, I tried your method in win7 and it worked as well. I can view the full exif now.

FWIW, the .THM files are required for the camera to recognize the .MOV file. I tried to reload some files back to my CF card (5DII) w/o the sidecar, but the camera would respond with "no image data" without the .THM file. Mark
