How long has your status been "....winded"?

Well, the title was "bestowed" on me as we were in the final stages of the very invoved discussion which directly led to the "HAMSTTR" acronym -- I don't recall how long ago that was, but I was involved at some point and made some pretty "Long...winded" posts. CyberDyneSystems was also involved, and he was the one who dubbed it all HAMSTTR, and I have a sneaky suspicion that he had something to do with my title!

The image that's opened is in AdobeRGB.
Photoshop tells you so:

About the color settings: As said, tick the boxes. The rest doesn't matter if you are just opening images: The default RGB space only get's used when you go File > New… in PS.

Photoshop can not be embedding sRGB into AdobeRGB images. So my guess is you either were working on an sRGB image, converted the image to sRGB, copy-pasted an image into a new document, or were using "Save for web".
