excellent photos! super sharp, WB is spot on. If I were to nit-pick; cropping is a bit funky on #s 1,2, an 3. Well done overall.
It's nice to see great sports photos with the lower-priced lenses/bodies.

How are you working on a press pass? Are you a member of the press?

im not a big hockey fan but those are some great action shots.

Just a couple connections inside the 'Canes staff and talking with the team photographer to work on being an assistant, but not getting my hopes up yet!

Thank you for the compliments and these were all shot with the 18-135 kit lens and my 60D, I swapped to the Tamron 70-300 VC later on in the game but haven't got around to those pictures yet. The kit lens hasn't let me down yet!

Thanks, I like to get input from people who don't necessarily like the sport but do like to look at the photo's because of the action!

Guess not many people like hockey?

to be honest, in the sports section, I think a lot of people here who give replies only reply to photos that "need help" or where the photographer asks for advice. I have seen a trend here where when the photos are pretty good and don't really require any responses beyond "good shot... blah blah blah", the thread usually dies pretty quickly. I think a lot of people here are just not into giving "nice shot" replies to a photographer who is pretty much just showing (and not needing help). So, take it as a compliment that few are typing replies.

I see what you mean but although I think I have good ability and skills for sports photography I still look to this site to improve my shots and to make sure I am on the right track to get to the next level. I am only 19 so just want to get a good start in the right direction with everything and this site is a huge help!

Hockey threads tend to die a fast death on here. Although someone bumped a 6 month old hockey thread of mine last week. Surprised the crap outa me.
