Beautiful state park in SE Ohio. Took advantage of a brilliant weekend to visit. Deep ravines and lots of natural rock and trees made for high ISO shooting. All images with 5d2 and 35L:

1. Old Man's Cave. Looking down over a foot bridge:

Nice Pics, snyderman.

As HappySnapper90 commented. It is green there, but should be getting some nice colors in the valleys down there about now...

Thanks.

As you both of you mentioned, the valleys were still pretty green. Upland areas that see full sun during the day had much better color already. Probably missed the 'peak' by about a week. But couldn't pass up the perfect weather this past weekend. Probably the last chance of the season.

First time there. Really enjoyed the area.

Dave,
Looks like really low water flow, was Cedar Falls the only one with water?

Yes, and only at the far end where that shot was taken. The other falls side, (shear cliffs) behind the water shot was completely dry. The creek was pretty shallow and not moving much either. They obviously haven't seen much rain lately. Still a VERY enjoyable visit.

Sure is and the weather could not have been better for the 2nd week of October. Did not want to miss out on a perfect day.

Cool. My older son is a geo sciences major at U of PA at Edinboro. He would have LOVED Hocking Hills. Wish it weren't so far from him. Would have been nice to have him along.

Where are you in Ohio? I've seen some of your work. Pretty good stuff!

Thanks man! Means a lot, I'm in Lorain county, it's west of Cleveland, not actually in Lorain city though.
