Help/Advice for Shooting in GSMNP?

I'm making my first trip into GSMNP and have been planning my itinerary but need some help with someone familiar with the area in terms of what direction some locations face and what time of day is best to approach them (assuming sunlight).

I've been there in a photographic capacity twice and am heading there again in another week. I am not a professional, so I'm not sure I can really help you. However, I know a couple of the hot spots.

I will get there on a Saturday and head to Clingman's Dome so we can capture the sunset there. The following morning we will do Cade's Cove. We will throw in Roaring Fork road later that day. We will likely visit Cade's Cove twice during the trip.

I've spent quite a bit of time there, but regarding directions it is going to depend on what you are wanting to shoot? what locations are you referring to?
