You may be kidding, but I think you raise a relevant point. I get the sense that more and more people are flipping gear. Nothing wrong with that, of course, but it means that as buyers it is maybe even more important than ever to ask for the history of the item. It is too easy to assume that someone is selling a lens that they have lovingly cared for over the years, when you might be getting an ebay bargain that someone with good rep here is trying to make a quick buck on.
