Lucky enough to find a complete standstill spider (~3-4mm)
There is an abrupt transition from in and out of focus, but I have used up the focus range of my 135mm + 50mm stack, any simple solutions to improve it?

C&C welcome!

Lovely stack - worked well !
Stacking at high mag can give a rather sharp DOF boundary. One possible solution is to shoot duplicate shots at the start and finish of the stack shots but at much smaller aperture (high F number). This should broaden the DOF boundary. The other thing is to try shooting perhaps at lower angles so you do not get the detail of the surface the subject is sitting on.
