I'm using a 1Dmk4, I convert my raw files using DPP. The EXIF information does not give the subject distance. I then use PhotoShop Eliments for final editing.

A friend using also a 1Dmk4 + 50D but converting and editing in PhotoShopCS has the subject distance shown in the photo EXIF

Due to the leaning curve required I really dont want to upgrade PSCS.
Does anyone know a user friendly software that could extract the additional information

Opanda iExif Pro (external link). The free version may also do enough for your needs.
