I had a few minutes to shoot this week and braved the mosquitoes at the
Everglades National Park. I went there mainly to test a 24 TSE but as I was leaving I got a few bird shots.

Great Egret right at sunrise

Little Green Heron, the background bokeh colors turned out great I think.

Great set Garry especially #1,2 and 3! Heh, I like the whites in #1, you did very well with such a bg. the colors in #2 are sweet maroon, green yellow, very nice. I do think that in #3 from the eye forward is a bit hot but thats a beautiful bird. Well done Garry.

Thanks for the kind comments. It is so much fun being out there, you are in the middle of nowhere, seldom another car to be seen.
BGgraphy, I agree about the hot beak. I really don't like the shot too much, but I just threw it in.
The other shots were taken with the 70-200 F4 with 1.4TC. The images are pretty crisp with them, though I am thinking about going to the 70-200 F2.8.

Very nice set. The background in # 2 looks like a watercolour painting, very lovely. Good work all around.
