I guess I didn't follow the rules. Looks like you need to pick another winner.

I suggest that Kevan makes the call.

Since he apparently didn't send Harleypugs a PM to warn him about the lack of title before the challenge closed, I would vote to keep the current winner and let him get on with posting a new challenge ASAP.

Sorry folks, I was in the city all day and not by my pc.

I am in complete agreement with Teekay's thoughts and again recommend that Jon take on next week's challenge. I hope everyone is okay with this tact, and accept my apologies for not being sufficiently attentive to the rules. I've self-administered 13 lashes across my back using my EOS neck strap. Funny thing is...it's no more painful than when using it to carry my camera.

The rules are not the same across all competitions and that can be a bit confusing. The DSLR challenges have this rule and I have watched some fine photographs fall except we all got to see them anyway!

I personally think we need to enforce the rule..... I didn't make them but they are there for everyone to follow. If we let it slide this time, what about those who missed out in the past for the same reason? And, I have PM'd many of you guys about changing your titles as well as posted several reminders in the challenges.

Life is hard...but I just take it one photograph at a time.

Not a problem Maureen. You emailed me once and saved my bacon. And I should have emailed Allen to warn him a few weeks back. For me it's not a critical detail but it is nice to see the titles in the right place. Hope you had a nice time on your trip.

Great images folks. I had a LOT on my plate last week.

Well I think it is important to change the title because that is the only information you can use to describe your photo since there are no comments allowed. It might be very important to the person who is choosing the winner that week.

No biggie Joe and Maureen is right, the rules are the rules. I would have probably posted the same image anyway just for the fun of it. Winning cool but I personally just enjoy the social aspect of it all and seeing all the images everyone else posts as much as the competition of it all.

So when do we get to see all the images you took on your trip Maureen? :D (hint, hint)

Keep an eye... I have over 800 shots that I just started working on including the oneI put in this competition :)

Thanks for jumping in kb..... I know there are varying opinions of enforcing the title line rule but maybe more people will remember now. I like the rule because it offers a description of my entry.

NVM: in answer to your question, putting the title in the post is not where it belongs ;);)

that's true, but you were also arguing earlier that a title "is the only information you can use to describe your photo since there are no comments allowed ". so, its the technicality of placing a title in the WRONG area that stands.
