Need help with output issues!

Okay,
I have a HP pavilion DM4 running windows 7 64 bit. I've done the windows monitor calibrating and didn't have to change anything from factory settings.

The Issue.
When I upload photos the seem too bright and over exposed. Using CS5 I'll make those corrections and adjust them to proper exposure. Once complete with my PP I'll load them up online and when I view them on my computer they all look FINE. Online, when I open the pictures, when I some one saves it and then e-mails it to me and even when I open it in other programs.......

When I or anyone else views them from another computer the all seem under exposed and something is off with them.

What the heck is going on? I took a photo that looked overexposed on my computer and did a straight save to it and sent it to my brother and he said it looked correctly exposed and everything looked fine.

I grabbed my other (older) labtop to take a look and on the site they ALL seem off just as he explained. What's going on??? I mean I can't figure it out and it's driving me crazy!

Your monitor is probably way too bright. What does the histogram look like on your images? Can you attach one of your images, resized down, to this thread, and also attach a screenshot of the histogram for the image. I'm at work and I can't see images hosted on photo hosting sites.

I did some working on the labtop to figure out what the heck happened. After some messing around I found some settings where not correct. It's now displaying them correctly as I saw them before which means I just have to rework everything again. Thanks for the post.
