Hi, just wanted to drop in and share a few shots from last weeks race.

Had some fairly harsh light to deal with this time.

You want feedback? What do you want me to tell you, those pictures are awesome? Okay, I'll tell you, those shots are awesome, sharp as a tack, beautiful blurred background.

Would you mind supplying some shooting info?

Great work.

the other thing is we need to know the trap numbers for the various bikes; especially that silver turbo busa.

Thanks Guys.

Most were shot at 1/250, some at 1/200 or 1/320. 70-200L f4, the 2 wide angle burnouts are with the Tokina 12-24 f4 which is turning out to be a very nice lense.

I really like to pan a bit slower but I make my money from selling prints mostly to riders, teams and sponsors so I need to keep the bikes and sponsors names reasonably sharp, 1/250th or so has proven to be a good compromise for me.

[Brag strength="a little"] #7 and #12 were built by my brother (Bitter/Sweet Motorsports), his partner, our cousin, is the rider in #7. [/brag]

Kraig we must have been typing at the same time:

As mentioned I know a little about that bike, it will run around 7.5 seconds at around 195. mph, the last bike ran 197. Only 3 bikes have run 200 in that class (Streetbike Shootout 68"). They set the ProStar record last year at 198. It is actually street legal, of course it only runs on the track. At Prostar, sometimes they'll have to ride down some streets at legal speeds as part of the tech process.

The other bikes run anywhere from 8 to just over 9 seconds.

Thanks for the shooting info.

The bike speeds are amazing. Being a former leisure motorcycle rider, I can attest to what it's like to be on a motorcycle at a hundred miles per hour. The wind was incredible, wanting to push me right off the back.

I can not even imagine what it must be like to be on a bike that fast.

I know what you mean, I went about 160 once, but it wasn't from a dead stop in ΒΌ mile and it was plenty enough for me, and I've grown up in drag racing, I'll stick to 4 wheels though. Their bike is going 158 or so in the 1/8 (halftrack) mile in about 4.9 seconds. They go 60' in about 1.28 seconds, all with no wheelie bar and a street tire, it must be a wild ride. :o)
