SO, for all the aperture users out there.

How do you correct distortions, i/e Barrel, Pincushion, etc?

Is there any way to utilize lens profiles?

I can do everything I ever want to do with Aperture+Nik PlugIns, except correcting distortions.

What are some suggestions?

I'm trying to pick out some new lenses to buy, and I'm getting hung up on the landscape lens. I want to use the Zeiss 35/2 because it leaves room in my budget for other great lenses. BUT, if I can't correct the slight barrel distortion it has, I will have to go with the 24 TS-E, which BLOWS my budget away.

thanks!

It's available as a plug in to Aperture.

Not sure if it has the option but I just started using the lens correction function in LR3 which seems to do a pretty good job.

Pt lens has profiles if I recall? That might be my best option. Does it return the file as a TIFF? id probably want to do te correction immediately prior to starting my Nik edits then.

PT Lens is probably your best bet. It does create a TIFF file. Download it and give it a try. You get 10 images for free.
