Haven't checked color balance by the numbers of either image but my eyes tell me I'd prefer something in between these two. The second might be more accurate by the numbers but just seems too cool, not as pleasing.

I like your edit as well Bob, except that it looks like we're getting a bit bright on the arms. Now... I know there was a section about messy hair in that LR3 book....... ![]() I used levels -select the eye dropper for whites and clicked on the upper white flower to the left of the seam. I also moved the midtone slider a bit.
