My neighbor comes home this weekend and will be wanting her 100mm Macro lens back, so my 'macro career' will be interrupted. These three are my final efforts to improve my macro skills.
The baby lizard was the culmination of a long time trying to get close to a lizard. They are really wary little dudes. This one was evidently so young he hadn't fully learned his survival skills.
Last night I spotted my favorite spider out on his web rather than tucked into the corner of the deck roof. I've spent a lot of time watching him and waiting for shots. Actually, I've grown quite fond of him. I set up and took a few shots, and then realized that I was taking pictures of his tummy, not his back.
So,... I went around to the other side, but the wall of the house made the background less than black. I'll need to work out a method to provide a different background when I get to borrow the lens again.
Any comments that would help me improve the next time I try macro would be appreciated.
PS: Anyone know what kind of spider this is?
