I got to go to the Viera Wetlands today there are few more birds around than two weeks ago, its a shame though they have some of the roads blocked.

I had to leave a little early and the sunset was magnificent but I missed the best color.

Nice. I can never get that close to the Red Winged Blackbirds. The ones I've encountered at the local pond in our neighborhood just get ticked off and fly off if you get within 30 yards of the water.

I'm like you, normally I get focused on a RWBB and he leaves. This one hung around enough for
me to get several shots.
I appreciate the comments, it was really a fun afternoon.

Thanks for these great "post cards" from one of my favorite FL locations. Great work Garry.

I've driven those roads many times and have yet to see a Caracara on it. One of these days...

Enjoyed the beautiful variety Garry, especially the Caracara which I think is such a fascinating looking bird... I like Sharon would love to see one someday.

Thanks much, BGraphy I know what you mean about the handcuffs...
It really detracts, the one bird was tagged 4 times and the other none, go figger.

Nighthound, Viera is 45 minutes from my house it is so cool on a Sunday afternoon to
just jump in the car and spend a couple of hours there. I had to leave right before
the most gorgeous sunset you ever did see and there was a guy out there with a view
camera waiting to photograph it.

Gary, what wonderful photographs, so nicely exposed and the action captured in each is great. The Caracaras is a very interesting creature and I love that you caught it with the egg. You did very well exposing the RWBB!
