Thanks. With plenty of friendly people, lots of action and access, The Winchester Speedway is a great place for photography, and is more than worth every mile on the road to get to the track.

The 39th Annual Winchester 400 Weekend is right on top of us now. And, it is shaping up to be the best one yet! Some of the best racers in the country in all divisions will be participating, the weather is looking very favorable, and East Central Indiana is anxiously awaiting the roar to begin.

The 39th Winchester 400 was run in October of 2010, one year ago, and was won by teenaged driver Chase Elliott, who was also the cause of the crash documented in the last image from the 2011 race. Elliott's transmission broke on a restart, causing the crash that damaged the cars that are pictured. Elliott's crew changed the transmission during the red flag and he finished 3rd.
