Awesome shots... I really like the first shot of Casey Stoner!

I haven't kept up with this season much since Simonceli took out Pedrosa in the French Le Mans, but am very happy to see that the Aussie Honda is on top! :)

Awesome set, #2 and #3 look a little dark/under exposed to me but they are still great shots all around. Thanks for posting!

Nice set. Were you official media? or did you sneak those lenses in?

Heard they were turning people away with "pro" gear.

Really nice, shooting fast action with a 5D2 is a tough challenge.

Nice work Christian.
That's a big effort - Bathurst one week, PI the next.
You're doing more miles than QANTAS. (at the moment, that's not hard...haha)

Great shots man. To be honest I really like the second to last shot.

MotoGP is so cool. My wish is to be able to ride in a prestigious race some day...

Pipe dream at best.

No media, just GA. Took a gamble as I believe that 300mm is the longest they allow (at least based on last time I visited some years ago), and I didn't want to use TCs again.

Had no problems in the end and I saw more supers in the GA areas than in the media! Mostly 300/2.8s, and I think I saw one 400/2.8 - but I didn't see anyone else with a 500/4 or longer.

Cheers, it's not quite as responsive as 1-series - but I have found the 5D Mark II to be a more accurate tracker of AF for objects moving away from the camera than any 1-series, so it's a preferred choice for motorsport for me at the moment.

Is there usually much of a difference between MotoGP and Superbikes at the Island with regards to allowable lenses? I've been into the Superbikes with a 100-400 and 70-200, that was 2006 though.

Currently just a P&S, but watch this space.

Really nice shots! Love your third shot, its awesome! Didn't get anything like that myself! I was also there, and was shooting with my 7D and a camo'd 500L. No problems getting in, the Australian Grand Prix F1 Race, is impossible to get in with anything over 300mm. It's in the rules for F1 i think!

Will post up some of mine here for people to see.
