I took my youngest son on his first backpacking trip a few weeks ago. Why he waited until he was 21 to show any interest in the out doors, I'll never know. I'm just thrilled he loves it now!
On our trip, the third morning, we started our return leg knowing a change of weather was on the way. While climbing the ridge out of the Leland Lakes, I looked back over my shoulder an saw this view, it stopped me dead in my tracks. I only wish I had thought to Pano it, or bring a slightly wider lens.

Crisp light that makes the mountain across seem so close.

Thanks V-Wiz!

Tmcman,
One of the things I really like about this image is the play of light and shadow. It really is a dynamic image.
