Okay, that's an inflammatory title, I'll admit, and no it's not as good... however, it is pretty darn decent for something you'll have in your pocket 99% of the time.

Ha! Title killed me! Loving my 4S, but would never put it up to my 5D2.

I was very impressed.
I'm going to suspect and anticipate a large influx of iPhone recorded videos hitting YouTube and Vimeo VERY soon.

That or an Instagram with video app.

Yes, I definitely see something along those lines coming soon. It just makes sense.

I'm surprised Apple hasn't got back into the digital camera market. You would think they would've made an iCam or iShot or something. They definitely have the technology to make an innovative 4/3 or crop size cam. I wonder if Jobs had one in the pipeline?

Pretty good. I plan on using my 4s to capture a few wedding highlights as I photograph.

No. No the iphone 4s is not anywhere near as good as the 5D MKII (or any of the Canon DSLR video shooters).

Look at the video shot here: http://vimeo.com/30578363 (external link)

Rolling shutter kills it for me. It's going to be a problem on the sensors for cellphone cams for a while.

Yea. No comparison. Iphone 4s has so much distortion on the move. The video they used is on a tripod. Of course its gonna look good. But once you start walking or moving around it just plain sucks. Yea it will be better than non HD videos but no comparison.

Guess iPhone4s video doesn't handle the new billboards very well. :D

I'm not going to lie, I love the video on the 4S. I used it to piece together a short video and it was pretty impressive. Between the Steadicam for the iPhone and the ability to now mount lenses to it, (yeah, this is no joke) I think you can do some damage with only the iPhone.
