Hi everyone!
Who here is from the Jersey Shore area? I live in Lacey (between LBI and Seaside for your curious people). Looking to get together with some people on days off and go take pictures to learn. I'm really new to everything, so I don't care whether you're brand new like me or an experienced pro willing to teach.

I'm not exactly sure where to go to take some good photos though. Any suggestions would help, regardless of whether you want to come along or not.

Thanks,
Kevin

I'm in Laurence Harbor probably 40 mins from seaside. 120 on the GSP. What exactly do you want to take photos of? I cant think of any place near by worth mentioning. I always wanted to take some night photos at the boardwalk but when its all lit up. Take a trip to the city.. NYC or philly, I plan on going soon.. that or maybe near deleware for some rad fall foliage.. those are just my random ideas that I had in store for myself. I've been shooting for a little while but i still consider myself a beginner.

Nothing good lol

Well, I'd like to do any nature/landscapes/wild life, cool looking things, any sort of action stuff, or whatever other cool ideas people have. I know there is hardly anything around here. I wish I had my camera in the spring so I could have taken pictures on the multiple camping trips to upstate NY.

seaside is cool on winter. we went to skylands/bear mountain/west point a few weeks back but the foliage is not as great as last year. 2 hour drive from us though.

for nature, hit up cattus island. few egrets there. even osprey.

I do want to expand my portrait port though

Go out to Barnegat Light and shoot the light house and the boats coming in and out of the inlet. You can head out Rt. 72 West towards Chatsworth and bum around the cranberry bogs in the area. Not to sure how much is going on right now with the cooler weather here though.

If you have a 4 wheel drive truck you can hit the many "fire roads" along Rt. 72. The Pigmy Pines are on Rt 539 south of 72.

That is all that comes to my head right now.
