So I did my first Senior session yesterday. Just posting a quickie because I'm still working through what I got. I'll post more as I get through more.

I'm actually thinking of smoothing the skin out a bit. I was going for a harsher light on this one.

I think the 2nd image may look better cropped to a portrait size too. 5 is my favorite. Canon 7D, 5D, 35L, 50 f/1.4, 85 f/1.8, 135L, 200L, 10-22, 17-55, 70-300, 100-400L, 500D, 580EX(2).

I actually have a version of #2 cropped to a portrait because I wasn't sure which I liked better.
I'll have to burn that bright spot a bit. I was concerned about the knot on that image as well. I'm just not good enough to remove it without it looking strange.

Oct 19, 2011 06:01 | #13 Ok, tried a little different processing. Here's the photo with, "normal," processing:
2) B&W (obviously)
3) Bleached
Curious as to which one you like best. I actually like the bleached look more than I thought I would.

A several of your photos were taken with a 200mm f2.8 lens but you were using f7.1 - why? The DOF on those photos almost looked like it was taken with a P&S camera. Open up the aperture and the overall appearance and mood of the photos might very well change for the better. Understand the DOF you need and shoot accordingly.
