The light is not doing her complexion any favors

I'm actually thinking of smoothing the skin out a bit. I was going for a harsher light on this one.

I like this one better but the cross lighting and mixed light temperatures arent helping. Where is the light from camera left coming from?

Good question. There was nothing coming from over there that I can remember.

I think the bright spot above her head on 1 & 2 is distracting and also the knot on the tree in the second image. I think the 2nd image may look better cropped to a portrait size too. 5 is my favorite.

Here's a quick edit of 2.

Interesting. I actually have a version of #2 cropped to a portrait because I wasn't sure which I liked better.

I'll have to burn that bright spot a bit.

I was concerned about the knot on that image as well. I'm just not good enough to remove it without it looking strange.

Thanks. Honestly, posing has been my biggest weakness. I feel pretty good about the poses I got.

The client is extremely happy even if I'm not 100% satisfied. Going to work to correct the mistakes I made and get better for the next time.

Ok, tried a little different processing. Here's the photo with, "normal," processing:

2) B&W (obviously)

3) Bleached

Curious as to which one you like best. I actually like the bleached look more than I thought I would.

1) the best
2) b&w tones are to similar so the effect is not nice
3) colour tone are not working in this one

I find that when you take a picture of someone and the colour of the skin and the cloths and the surrounding environment is similar, converting the image to b&w does not help.

Depth of field. A several of your photos were taken with a 200mm f2.8 lens but you were using f7.1 - why? The DOF on those photos almost looked like it was taken with a P&S camera. Open up the aperture and the overall appearance and mood of the photos might very well change for the better. Understand the DOF you need and shoot accordingly.
