Perfect for FUN shooting etc... certainly no one would do professional work on it but I think to say its total garbage, from a pocket device is unwarranted. I use instagram and a few other apps, and iphone keeps me shooting. Im always shooting, everyday, something or another. keeps me thinking. Often times I'll use it first and if it's a project i really want to tackle I'll go back with my DSLR. I picked up the imovie app and did a edit on my iphone, with music and transitions and titles. I was pretty impressed. Do i think some one out there will be stupid enough to sell a real camera and go all Iphone. Yep, there is always someone, lets just hope they are not on this forum. I always thought the smaller size would be an engineering constraint. Guess I was wrong. They are way closer than I would have thought.

The iPhone 4 and 4s do really will in good lighting but if you try to video or take pictures in lesser lighting the noise jumps up really bad. The iPhone is a good quick hurry and get that shot but that's about it when it comes to videos and photos. Canon EOS 5D MK II

It obviously goes without saying that depth of field can't be controlled with the iPhone, let alone most video cameras, and I'd like to see how they compare in low light. Canon 40D
