I honestly think the iphone4S is a great pocket cam replacement. Perfect for FUN shooting etc... certainly no one would do professional work on it but I think to say its total garbage, from a pocket device is unwarranted. I use instagram and a few other apps, and iphone keeps me shooting. Im always shooting, everyday, something or another. keeps me thinking. Often times I'll use it first and if it's a project i really want to tackle I'll go back with my DSLR. I picked up the imovie app and did a edit on my iphone, with music and transitions and titles. I was pretty impressed. Do i think some one out there will be stupid enough to sell a real camera and go all Iphone. Yep, there is always someone, lets just hope they are not on this forum.

If this were the middle ages, you'd be tried and burned at the stake as a witch. Amazing video. Good job. Thanks.

Pretty identical. The 4S have slightly less colors shown and show scan lines when the digital billboards was playing.

I would opt for the DSLR simply due to creative control. Although the 4S would be remarkable for video journalism

The iPhone video looks great for what it is. The biggest problem I see with the iPhone is the inability to change batteries.

Great ad for the 4S, and also hopefully a not-so-gentle prodding at camera manufacturers to deliver more than they currently do in P&S land.

Great video. That 4s is a great little device to capture stuff on the go. Plus, it's portable; try to shove the 5d2 w/ a small lens like a 50 1.4 into your pocket, haha.

I can't imagine that for most people out the this cell phone shout cover just about any thing they want, specifically the point and shoot Disney crowd.

That's incredible. I never would have thought that a cell phone would be that good this soon. I always thought the smaller size would be an engineering constraint. Guess I was wrong. They are way closer than I would have thought.

Great comparisons. The iPhone 4 and 4s do really will in good lighting but if you try to video or take pictures in lesser lighting the noise jumps up really bad. The iPhone is a good quick hurry and get that shot but that's about it when it comes to videos and photos.

I appreciate the comparison, but I don't know why anyone would opt to use a 5D for those sorts of shots over any camera with HD capabilities. It obviously goes without saying that depth of field can't be controlled with the iPhone, let alone most video cameras, and I'd like to see how they compare in low light.
