Oh, and btw... SD cards can $uck it cuz I <3 CF cards.

I know a few people will actually be sad/mad about ditching the SD. But thankfully, I'm glad to see dual CF. I know I'm in the minority.

Hurray for year end bonus and hurray for tax returns. :p

Oh god bless them. Finally, a thumb joystick for the vertical grip portion. Woots!

Funny, that is one of the first things I noticed when reviewing the pictures and certainly one of the most exciting things to me ergonomically!

That thing looks very cool. I would buy it if I have that kind of cash laying around in March.

I know my thinking is bass-ackwards, but the 1D X looks to me like a 7D-pro. :p LCD overlay VF (does that mean the focus screen will be limited as well? It's adopted the spot, single, expansion, zone etc... from the 7D as well.

I know you pros are going to be super excited about this, but I was hoping for an update to the 5D series.

Fear not. It's coming. It'll probably be the same bastardized 9-point AF of the existing 5D/5D2 but they'll just cram more MP to compete w/ the rumored Nikon D800's 36mp. Even Nikon Rumor claims that the D800 has elected not to focus on high-iso as the D700 once excelled in.
