This morning I saw this sign hanging in the window of the candy/souvenir shop next door to my motel here in Beatty, NV:

that's kind of like the signs in Wyoming for drive-thru liquor stores and the convenience store's telling you to 'eat here and get gas". I think, maybe the sign itself is a joke? I'm grasping at straws here... were you maybe in Canada, maybe hawaii doesn't count. sari.

Maybe the sign is just out of date. We had 49 states for awhile.

I suppose it could be, but it's kind of too subtle to be a joke. Who knows. I should have asked about it.

That's a possibility too, but I'd think it's very unlikely. The building is fairly new, probably only a couple years old. I'd think if someone moved the sign from somewhere to a new store, they'd notice that. Maybe not, though. :D
