I love my YN flashes and RF 602s. I think they are the best bang for my buck considering my budget.

What would be the equivalent Beauty dish?

I really love my 22" Kacey BD with grid and sock.

You might want to get the flash bracket to combine with your YN as well.

Best,
MC

Kacey's dish and if you are on a budget a generic 55cm dish will do but if not then again Kacey's.

There is a pretty large spread in price from top to bottom when looking at beauty dish suppliers. If you have the money, a Kacey beauty dish or a Mola Demi are serious photography tools . If they are too pricey, then there are lots of less expensive solutions that pass the price common sense test. If I had budget constraints, I would look at cheetahstand beauty dish. It will work with speed lights or studio lights. There are numerous posts with lighting examples on the board.

Pick what matches your budget and happy shooting,

Regards,

110yd

I just recently ordered the Kacey dish, have not received it yet but for myself I wanted something relatively inexpensive (couldn't justify spending so much on the Mola as an amateur) but didn't want to get the super cheap one and regret not getting a better one. I cant wait to start using mine. Do a search on here, lots of positive reviews for the Kacey and beautiful images created with it.

Wow, thanks for all the great support. We launched our product to bring the highest quality beauty dish to the market place at a affordable price. Our product is in very high demand and we are doing everything we can to increase production and keep the price
affordable. We are and have been defending the right to manufacture our product against a lawsuit filed against us from the most expensive BD manufacturer in the World (Mola Inc). While they have accomplished creating a small distraction and wasted funds in attorney fees. We have no doubt we we be able to continue to bring high quality, affordable products to the market place.

If you plan on sticking with speedlites or youngnuo flashes don't rule out the lumodi beauty dishes which are incredibly light and mount directly onto the speedlite head. ~$70 shipped.

Kacey's beauty dish has solid reviews too and would be good for you if you upgraded to strobes in the future. really depends on how you shoot and whether you pick strobes or speedlites as your main flash tool

Just got my kacey dish today (thanks Jerry!) and I am impressed with the build quality. I am excited to give it a run through on my next shoot this Saturday.

Hey Jerry,

just wanted to chime in and say that I'm very happy with my Kacey BD, and that I did not choose it because of its price ("cheap Mola"), but rather because of the unique material used (compared to other dishes).

It doesn't bang up as easily as other metal dishes tend to often do and it's super light weight, which means I have no issue booming it or having someone hold it on the end of a boom for an extended period of time.
