Be it pulling commuters at high speed, or lifting the tonnage up a hill, a train is always about the power.

Both are very nice, have some good colors going on and you seem to shoot in rule of thirds nicely. #1 isnt level, thats pretty distracting

So bridges are always flat, even on a highway then?

Shouldn't the cement pier be leaning then?

Thats news to me, as just past where the lower photo was taken, there is a bridge over the highway, and it is on the same 1% grade as the tracks the freight is on.

I like things not being level, as it adds tension to the scene. Diagonals are as important as Thirds, even if very slight.

and yea if it has a grade, then shoot it appropriately....

everything does not need to be level :)

Thanks......and if you realize that most of the rail lines had been built back before mechanization, and that railroads tended to be built as cheap as possible, they are rarely as level as we think they are.
