I took a buddy out for his first trackday last Monday, and figured he'd want some different angle shots compared to what the working photog would get. I borrowed another work friend's 100-400L. The track was New Jersey Motorsports Park on the Thunderbolt Circuit.

I was only able to shoot the beginners (group 1) and experts (group 4) as I was riding in between.

Looks like a great day at the track, and looks like that 100-400 suits you very well. Nice shots!

Very nice shots, I really like #5. What is the guy in #3 wearing?

Thanks guys.

I'm not quite sure but it looks like one of those inflatable vest thingies that senses when you're going to go down and inflates like an airbag. Supports your head/neck mostly.
