really messed up my LCD flat screen monitor trying to make things better ...

Processed a few images as seen below. Does the WB look correct? Color balance and saturation look natural? Lighting, shadows, etc., look ok? Contrast ok? Too much? Too little?

Thanks in advance for another set of eyes on perhaps a calibrated monitor. ;)

Thanks again. If it means anything, these were taken with the 35L on 5D2 and at 3pm a couple weeks ago.

I don't see anything out of the ordinary. Perhaps the first is a little magenta-ish, but I'm judging by the sky mostly. Also, the sky in the second is obviously blown out and i'm wondering if you see the little bits of density in the sky in the corners (ie. it's not all blown out).

Just to verify: check out the "Black Level" and "White Saturation" parts of this (external link) site, and if you can differentiate down to about 4 or 5 of the blacks and up to about 253 of the whites you're in decent shape at least in terms of brightness / contrast.

Christopher:

thanks and was already there trying to sort out the blacks, bright, contrast etc. Looks like a good site. My monitor has nowhere near the controls necessary to do much more than adjust brightness / contrast and a few other minor parameters. Thanks for the site. Glad I stumbled upon it earlier!
