What is causing the halo around the person and the tree? Over-sharpening, maybe? Now this one is rather unique . I can barely see color in the trees outline but over all the image looks like a black and white . WB looks just right and not over brightened . Good detail in the MW . But I take it this is a combo image ?

Thanks for the comment Celestron! It is a combo image with the foreground being a 30 second exposure and the sky being a 200 second exposure using a iOptron Skytracker. Canon 6D, Canon 70-200l f4, Canon 50mm 1.8, Samyang 14mm, Super Takumar 28mm

Tell me something , with that surface being so smooth looking is that a small river or creek bed or is that a paved road just after a rain and things are flooded ?

Celestron, it is a river. There was a pretty good wind this night, I think that helped give the water the effect along with the longer exposure. Thanks again for the interest! Canon 6D, Canon 70-200l f4, Canon 50mm 1.8, Samyang 14mm, Super Takumar 28mm

At this point I can say one thing I really love is being able to crank the Iso to 200,000 and seeing what i'm going to get then backing off for the pic; that and the weight of the A7s is nice too. Will be watching with interest regarding your opinion on the A7S as I have my eye on this camera. Great shots on your Flickr too! Fotostream
