I have been using IRFanview, and I finally got Lightroom. I like my results a lot better now! Any feedback is appreciated!

You can still do star trails which when PP right makes for great imaging . Being up in Pa. you have better chances of Auroras than being way down south in Texas .

Auroras? I've done quite a bit of night shooting, but never saw one...how do I go about finding/getting a shot of them? That would be pretty exciting!

Sorry , I should explain more . There are times when Sunflares are so strong that many times in the past Auroras have been seen at lower altitudes as far down as Texas but most times it may only reach the bordering states to Canada . Being you are in Pa. , that's close enough that your chances of seeing auroras in your state are very strong when Sunflares are strong . Here's one link to read but you can google other postings about Auroras in Pennsylvania .

If the sun is flaring, the further North you are the better for seeing an Aurora :) but for us, the further South we go, the same thing. What I don't quite understand is why is it only in the Polar regions? One day I will get the answer, might be tomorrow haha :)

If there's no Aurora, aim for Airglow :)
