pdxbenedetti Senior Member More info | One thing I'd try doing is opening the image in Photoshop, if you have it, and try warping the top of the shot to get the stars back into somewhat normal shapes. That part is a little distracting. Also do some vignetting correction, unless you were intentionally doing it, I'm just not a fan of the "tunnel vision" that vignetting causes.

Really nice lens, great for capturing the arc. Image hosted by forum (792241) © Aks6674 [SHARE LINK] THIS IS A LOW QUALITY PREVIEW. Please log in to see the good quality stuff. Thank you, I'll give that a go tonight. I did put the vignette in on purpose to try and darken it down a litte, but will certainly take it out for a look Sony A7mkiii / Zeiss Batis 18mm f2.8 / Zeiss FE35 f2.8 / EF24-105F4L / EF70-200f4L / EF50mm f1.8 / Sigma 105mm f2.8 macro

May 11, 2016 20:22 | #2982 Here is one from 5-8, the sky was mostly clear but there was haze above the lake which affected effectively blocked the light close to the horizon. Was pretty cool to get Mars and Saturn in the shot. Image hosted by forum (792665) © edofloat [SHARE LINK] THIS IS A LOW QUALITY PREVIEW. Please log in to see the good quality stuff.

Last summer I got to see a really cool lightning storm out there: I've enjoyed several of the shots you posted on the site - but really love that last one with the lightning too! Obviously a bit different from the Milky Way theme in this thread, but I had to comment on it also being an awesome photo! ~Jason

What an incredible and breath-taking country, no wonder all of you Kiwi photographers are so good! ~Jason
