It's always said for a great MW we need a foreground object-something to connect us to the MW. This one is totally unique!

Only an hour and 20 minutes from downtown Auckland

Batis 18mm
iso 8000 @ f2.8 15 seconds each.
Stacked in Sequator. First time I've used it, awesome.

That is really really nice!! You have a bright future in Milky Way photography. I've been trying for decades and never gotten anything like this. One suggestion if I
may. Keep reaching for the stars

Thanks...unfortunately this time of the year we don’t get many clear nights. Have only had two clear nights where the Milky Way was up and the moon was was not with no clouds.
