Hi all, just got my new Black Rapid RS-4 Camera strap
It's amazing, no more neck aches or cutting off blood flow!
I just wish I had ordered one of these a long long time ago!
Highly Recommend to anyone looking for a Good Camera Strap :D

RS-4 is a great one.

I'm using the RS-Sport and it's indeed amazing. Very pleased since then.

Best,
MC

I have both th RS-7 and RS Sport from Black Rapid and they worked great with My Manfrotto RC-2 plates and now with mt Kirk QRC-1 and the Arca-Swiss type L and lens brackets from Kirk.

I had a small problem with my RS-7 and asked a for help on Black Rapids site. They said they considered it a warranty issue an sent me a brand new strap without me even asking. Great product and great support, that a killer approach to success.

I don't mean to rain on your parade, but I would be cautious about catastrophic failure and dropped cameras with this strap. Search that strap here. Be careful that you have a security strap or cable attached.

My thinking has always been that the lugs are on the camera for a purpose, and the tripod mount is there as a tripod mount. Just my opinion.

Jay, I hear you. I use different gear==the other brand. The d300s I have doesn't hang right using the strap lug on the side of the camera, with whatever BR strap I have. So I'm back using the tripod mount. Camera is easy to use; mine has a grip on it.
I went back to a Domke gripper strap. Used those for over 20 years. But I have new habits having used a sling strap for going on a year. I really like the comfort and convenience using the BR strap. I check the connection on my grip and the strap every time I use the camera. Just a habit; loose--no electrical power/no shot.
I don't like the buckle on my back. You're right about that. Couple of cable ties and it doesn't work any more.

I looked at the little sling sold for P&S cameras. Comes with a purse. I mean a case. Here in Canada it's almost $60! plus 13% tax. SnappR? May check and see what OpTech has available for my NEX-5.

BR still sells the old connector--don't like it at all. That's what is available here at Henry's; maybe Vistek. The new connector is better made if it's properly installed by the user. If not, it falls out.

I use the double strap for weddings. It's pretty much killer.

I love BR straps... have single and double... I don't use tripod mount... picked up some OpTech Utility loops (see here: http://www.procameragear.com …_info.php/products_id/232 (external link)) and thread through where the handstrap point is on the battery grip

+1
there's a few things I wish were different about it, but it's a very good strap for that purpose

I'm using their SnapR (review (external link)). I love it! I put my Canon P&S in it. I'm actually on vacation in Florida and I've been using it when I'm at the theme parks.

Thanks for posting. I've only seen it in stores; considered it for my LX5 with Electronic View Finder; didn't fit.
Now I have a NEX5...don't know whether it will fit in the box or not. And the accessory lens will not fit. Cost is so high here too. $60? plus 13% tax, is a lot!

Best--your review helped.

BlackRapid has 3 versions. SnapR10 is the smallest. What I reviewed is the SnapR20 and they have the new SnapR30 which is for slightly bigger cameras.

I've got a RS-7 and a SnapR 30 bag for my EP3. Both awesome and I would recommend it to anyone!

I was using an RS4 till today as I've opted for the RS5 considering that it has some extra storage space. A very convinient and practical sling strap.

Has anyone who has been using the BR straps has had their SLR fall due to poor grip at the tripod mount?
