I was tracking the moon into the Canyon and have some other very nice images..

I was finished and the moon had gone behind the mountains where I was...

Coming back out and around the Canyon a few miles, I caught that glimpse where the mountains are quite a bit shorter... I barely had time to grab a camera and click off a few shots before it was gone again...:D

Here's one I took "on purpose"... :rolleyes:

Nice work. My only knit in the first image is that the reds are bit too much. Tone it down and you're ready for print. :)

I had a feeling you had been tracking the moon to get a shot like that! Great series. I like that you posted the last shot; it does show the great variety of colors in that rock! I would print those first two and hang them on the same wall!

I understand but, Canon files tend to clip reds. If you pushed it in post, that's another thing. ;)
