Isn't Cat 6 designed for video? Moko is the network expert. ;)

Idk. That's why I'm asking.

Oh, I figured Nick Le Sigh would chime in. Very little difference between cat 5e and 6 standards. The big one is the improved shielding of the Cat6 standard, which is especially important with tons of electronics around that introduce noise. Less noise = less retransmissions = good, in theory. For most people with a single cable running from pointA to pointB, makes little difference. Supposedly higher bandwidth capable with the cat6, but never personally did any throughput tests. When I was working for the government, they pretty much opted for cat5e over 6. Not sure if that's changed these last few years.

Is Cat6 worth the price difference? Sure, if you're not wiring up much. I was using up 500 foot spools pretty quickly, and the price can add up. Crimping cat6 really isn't anymore difficult than cat5e

it takes at least two weeks to put up the interior, outdoor is a week.

That's what kids are for, I guess.

Not bad. Shooting speakers like that sucks

I did a lot of that this summer... I have so many awkward looking shots of people.

Prices of 1Ds III go up! It's true that the body has gone up in price but, it remains to be seen if the prices will drop once the 1D X starts shipping.
