I have been trying to figure out why I don't have a signal on my mobile phone ever since I arrived here  I turned everything off including 3G,cellular data etc coz am scared to get a huge bill due to unnecessary charges. I did not know that I need to turn on 3G to be able to get signal here

here's a perfect example

QUOTED IMAGE

 Here the laws vary by state and sometimes even by county. In NYC it is illegal to ride your bike on the sidewalk unless your a child. Someone could be coming out of a building and get smacked by a bike rider. Not that the street saves you much to begin with

Hey, Monk3y, you're missing the whole point of being a tourist. Of course things are different. If they were exactly like back home, why would you go there?

Embrace the differences. Learn how their phone system works and dodge the bicycles.

Besides, the bicycles are on the sidewalk because the car drivers don't know what the word "yield" means.

Just laying on the sofa, Alexander is asleep on my chest, I am working on my laptop :). Could not get any better right now. Even have bacon in the fridge, so I can foresee a bacon in a bap for breakfast!

Mmm... bacon for breakfast. Sounds like a plan. ;)

Morning guys.

Hello Omar and Harm :D

I believe on your network you only ave to turn on wifi. No 3G connection else your are international roaming. When you start calling long distance even on wifi you get charged by the local telecom.

I have low expectations of anything being settled on. I love basketball but both sides are making it a point to derail the season completely.

In other news Joe Paterno is scum

With the way the Packers are playing, I'm perfectly fine not having to go through another stressful NBA season watch the Suns. :p

Why is Joe Paterno a scum? I'm assuming something related to his former assistant coach. I havne't been following that story very closely though.

Can anyone buy Packers stock? Or do you have to be a resident or something?
