Read the addition I added to my last post concerning value. You might do well to just trade the 1d3 for the 1ds2 and sell the 5dc. Unless you're shooting weddings, you don't NEED 2 bodies. Owning the 1ds2 is most certainly going to be a better return on investment in the future. People want FF.

If he has money to spare, it is, but that extra money can be allocated elsewhere. I don't see much reason for him to have both the 5dc and the 1d3 when he could have the 1ds2... which combines the two bodies, aside from the smaller screen and smaller FPS (vs 1d3).

The problem is FPS seems important to him. I also value two cameras more than 1 camera. I HATE switching lenses. When I shoot events I frequently have 3 cameras so I don't ever have to change lenses. I have one last wedding in December (a few weeks from now) I think after then ill just trade both and pick up a 5D2 or what ever is out there.... mainly cause i wont be doing wedding my focus will be Events (clubs) and second shooting

Unfortunately the 1d3 doesn't allow for as much cropping. And from what he just said, he's going to trade in his 1d3 and 5dc for a 5d2... so he probably doesn't care for the FPS all that much.

Hope you've got an intern to do the heavy lifting ![]() This is why Im thinking i should get a 5D2 I know alot of the local Photogs have an advantage because of resolution although 10mp and 12mp is sufficient i think its less room for error compared to say a 5D2 1Ds3 or 1DmkIV... to me FPS isnt a crazy big deal only sports im doing is my daughter soccer and on occasion Snowboarding (thats a rarity)
