Yes, but you don't need to go out and buy a $5000 camera just because you have the money. It's often a waste of gear and money. Learn how to use stuff before you go for the really high end toys.

I'm thinking of learning the violin. Anyone know where I can buy a Strad?

Why does he care? Isn't it yours?

Technically/legally and in papers its not... But in reality it is haha he is the president of the corporation, I am the corp secretary but I do most of the decision making and the daily operations with one of the incorporator that owns 25% of the company. I effectively own 75%

Besides he just really like to mess with us haha he is such a traditional chinese man

Finished off AC: Brotherhood, so I'm ready for Revelations whenever that comes out :p

As far as Arkham, I didn't finish the first game, so I probably won't get City for a good long while yet.

Hey, you didn't say anything about my 70-200 f/2.8 shots! I'm feelin' neglected here!

I'm sure plenty of parents would get their kids the good stuff if it was economically feasible :) With the high prices of weekly lessons (usually $30-$50 an hour), scrimping is a necessity, especially with the US economy in tatters.

That first one was stellar. You're sure that was at f/2.8? :D How far away was that bird? I tended to get good results at close distances, but targets further away, my 70-200 II was just so much better.

The second one... I don't know. Focus is spot on, but... looks like a little CA with maybe a hint of halation? In any case, that looks a lot more like what I was seeing with my copy. Doesn't appear very sharp with any type of distance. I also wasn't a huge fan of how that lens rendered colors...

Super. Monkey can put together a flip-book showing his fathers displeasure in slow-motion.

Well, they were both hand-held at f/2.8, ISO 800, meaning a "bit" of a loss there.

But I don't know what you mean about the Wood Duck and color...it looked good to me. I have other shots that are better for showing fine detail, though, I just don't want to "hog" this thread!
