sunset beach shoot

I have shot sunsets before... But not to sure how to add a family on the beach with the sunset behind..

Any tips?

Flash. Shoot in M, set shutter speed to 200, meter the sunset and set aperture and ISO accordingly. The flash automation will control the flash to correctly expose the foreground (people), but because it's outdoors (no walls) you might need to add some FEC.
