I have a 60D with the kit 18-135 bought at BB on 11/06/2010 with 2 year extended warranty.

Its at Canon for warranty repairs (minor; rubber grip peeling); just got the email today that they received it this morning. I know the file numbers have recycled once so its got ~10K-15K clicks; maybe Canon will tell for sure (I did ask them to). The body is in 9.8 shape and so is the lens which has had a RocketFish UV on it since day one.

I find I'm using my 5Ds or 7D 99% of the time and only reach for the 60D when I'm too lazy to swap lenses out; so the logical thing to do is to sell it.

BB currently has the same kit for $1146.99+tax.

  1. Is the 1 year extended I have left transferable by just giving the new owner the receipt?
  2. What should I ask for my kit which includes everything in the box including unused strap, manuals, et all? I want to give the prospective buyer one paypalled and shipped amount .

I think Canon is selling the refurb kit for <$900, including shipping and tax, so I'd use that as a guide. Though clearly some buyers and sellers do not realize that, so you may get lucky with a higher price.
