A buddy of mine wanted some pictures taken, so we went out and took some shots. This was my first time taking pictures of a person, first time using an OCF, and first time shooting at night. I did what I could to eliminate the shadows, but only had 2 flashes (1 stayed on the camera). Please let me know what you think of these, and how I can improve on them.

These were all handheld @ 1/20". Shot with my 40D+Tamron 17-50

you should try light modifiers like a stoffen to soften the shadows

I had a labency diffuser on the on camera flash, but didnt even think to put anything on the other flash. Thanks for the tip
