Ring Light From Quantum

Quantum has introduced their first ring light. Specs can be seen here at Quantum Instruments . It is called the OMICRON QF26 and it provides both flash and continuous lighting for video, an interesting concept. I am a firm believer in their products and have several of their products. Made in the USA to boot. Their products don't come cheap but are worth it, imo.

Looking forward to checking one out for sure, might be just the ticket for location! I too have enjoyed the Quantum products for the past three decades, and expect it to be every bit the quality piece.
It looks like the flash portion needs to be fired through an extension from either a Trio or Q5Dr by replacing the flash tube with a connector to the ring light to get TTL etc., doesn't it? I also like the idea of a constant ring light and shooting wide aperture....
Too many things on order right now to justify, maybe in December!
