1 and 3 seem either over processed or have a weird haze over them

Looks like you could have dialed back the flash a little in #'s 2 and 5. #2 looks "real", not staged/posed- I like that. I personally like candids.

I sort of like the haze/softness in #1 and #3, BUT it doesn't fow with the rest of the series. The PP is too different and, as I said, I don't think it flows right.

I think #3 would have been better in portrait orientation, and you probably shouldn't cover part of his face and a little of her right bra strap is showing (easily cloned out). And #4 is screaming for a shorter focal length so you're not cropping their legs. I"m picturing bare feet in the tide with that image.

I like #5 the best I think it's framed well with the palm tree and exposed pretty well, although a little harsh on the flash. I might have had her fix her hair though.

Overall I can see why they like them, they're not bad, well exposed, and free. :D Good job.

@bryan: ya we played with the clarity bar to -90% and it made it soft, and they liked the effect, so i left it...

@rivas: it was getting dark, and super windy that day, so focus was hard to come by especially as hey would not sit still, they were challenging!

again, did the best with what i could, was for fun, spur of the moment, im glad they pass for decent :)

not to mention im beginner at best, nothing pro, just for fun! thanks guys

Nice work,

just a thought on 2 and 3 :
It would have been nicer to have his face out from behind her head, giving a bit of seperation to their faces.

You captured their emotions very well! keep shooting.

i noticed alot of small things like that after the fact, but for the most part, i just had them run around the beach, naturally capturing them "in love" for fun and not ordering them into positions lol...

but next time i get around to it, ill be a different story!

I really like 5 the best, it seems to tell more of a story to me. They are a little on the bright side, too much flash?

Perhaps, I didn't compensate.

Seems like he pulled down the clarity slider.

Were they both really wearing the "requisite white clothing for beach shots" by happenstance? I know it is conventional wisdom to do so, but because of that I get tired of seeing it. Everyone does the same thing. They are clones.

Your work looks very nice to me, and I love shot number 5, with the framing and the sky in background. Sorry for the rant about white clothing...
