Very pretty shot, but seems just a tiny bit overprocessed to me. Maybe the green is a bit strong.

The green does seem a bit overpowering. When I look at this image,my eyes are drawn to the green. Not because of the path of rocks either. It could use a slight vignette to bring the bridge out more. That way, viewer's eyes wouldn't jump all over the image.

This is a familiar setting for me because I frequent the Catskills and Appalachians. So the overall lightness of it created a paradox in my mind's eye. It's usually much darker because of dense overgrowth and the hilly terrain. You might see something like this in the early spring when leaves are just bursting forth.

The bigger problem for me is represented by the three trees on the right that obscure the bridge. It's hard to tell, but I have the impression that if you went over to the other side of the creek, you'd have a clearer view of the entire bridge. It's a case of studying a subject in the entirety of the setting and picking the most advantageous point of view.

I don't know...I took three looks at different times, and I just have a hard time focusing on any one thing...just looks a bit to busy for me. There's also something about the greens...looks over-saturated or like something you'd see in an HDR-processed image. Maybe that's how it looked, but they just look too "electric" for lack of a better word. As joedlh pointed out, its always good to walk around an area, try out different vantage points, even different comps such as closeups of the fall foliage on the rocks, etc.

excellent...this is what I was looking for, thank you all. I hear you on the greens. I probably did oversaturate it. that should be an easy fix. as far as the angle, I wanted to get the water in it and, as you can see, there wasn't a ton running...that was the main reason for the positioning. I'll head back there and see if I can't accomplish both in a better way.

thanks again!!
